(Sacramento) – Recent events around the country have underlined the need for increased protections and tools for victims of workplace harassment. With that in mind Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes (D-San Bernardino) presented Assembly Bill 1870, the SHARE Act (Stopping Harassment and Reporting Extension), to the Labor Committee. “We must take proactive steps to ensure that victims are protected and that they know they are not alone,” said Assemblymember Reyes. “AB 1870 will allow victims the time they need to seek justice and protect due process so that every Californian has equal access to recourse.” Learn more about the SHARE Act in this Assembly Access video.
