Need help keeping up with residential property tax payments?

Homeowners, need help managing your property taxes?

California’s redesigned Property Tax Postponement Program now allows seniors, blind people or disabled persons with an annual household income of $35,500 or less to apply to delay payment of property taxes on their primary residence.

Do you qualify? Can you answer “YES” to all of the following?

• Be at least 62, blind, or have a disability;

• Own and occupy the home as a primary residence;

• Have a total household income of $35,500 or less;

• Have at least 40 percent equity in the property.

Funding for the program is limited. Only current-year property taxes are eligible for postponement. Past-due property taxes are not eligible.
